Business Development Manager

Title: Business Development Manager x 1

Reports to: Head of Sales and Business Development

Based at: The National Safety & Security Academy (NSSA), Doncaster

Since 2007, Redline has worked with national and international aviation clients, and other Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) properties, to help them ensure their security staff, processes, and procedures effectively combat terrorist activity in line with client and regulatory requirements.

Role

We are seeking an expert, UK based Business Development Manager to service and grow local and international accounts. We are looking for an individual familiar with the Aviation, Security or Events industry, possessing existing key account relationships and experience. Our salespeople are accomplished industry leaders who require nothing short of the best. We are a talented team seeking talented salespeople. This position is responsible for the management of client relationships, soliciting new customers, and developing growth strategies.

Business Development:

· Visit clients nationwide with nights away (Can be up to 4 nights out)

· Hunter and Farmer mentality with a high focus on outbound activity and prospecting

· Occasional international travel for liaison with airports, airlines, external suppliers, and customers may be required

· Confident at cold calling and prospecting'

· Drive business growth through developing new customer relationships and expanding business with existing customers

· Assist executive team in developing sales strategies and entering new markets

· Develop key account relationships

· Lead organization and attend trade shows. Schedule sales meetings with attendees

· Collaborate with Departments to create customer specific products

· Provide insight reports on market trends and opportunities

· Lead bid management activity to support company bids and tenders

Service Delivery:

· Utilise the CRM system to support all sales activity and reporting

· Support departmental managers to achieve better sales results for all company products and services

· Conduct market research to actively seek out and identify selling and upselling opportunities and trends

· Assist with the collation of sales and marketing statistics

Quality Assurance:

· Maintain an accurate and reliable system of audit, maintenance, and accountancy of all company commercial processes in accordance with ISO9001

People:

· Must have a positive attitude with a practical interest in Sales

Key Skills / Attributes:

· Sales Experience: At least 5 years of experience in sales and client management.

· Existing key account relationships and experience in Aviation, Security and Events industry

· Self-motivated, strong planning, organizational and time management skills

· Sales Process Methodology such as Miller Heiman, MEDDPICC etc

· Ability to build strong, productive relationships with clients and internal teams

· Keen attention to detail; able to critically review own output

· Previous experience as a member of a cohesive and effective sales team

· Must be able to work independently, accepting accountability for achieving defined goals and objectives

· Tireless work ethic

· Thorough understanding of marketing and negotiating techniques

· Proven experience of upselling

· Highly developed interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills

· Ability to collaborate with clients to achieve marketing and business goals

· A desire to learn and acquire new knowledge and skills

· Excellent interpersonal skills.

· Proficient in MS Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

· Experience with CRM software

Salary: £45,000.00-£47,500.00 per year
